Enter a 4 man/woman /mixed crew we will supply the training, boat and cox (£5 per person in the crew) Represent your club/pub/business. Fancy Dressers welcome

You will be Guaranteed at least 2 races over a 500 metre course with the best 3 crews going through to the final.

Trophies and medals for winners and runners up. 

Come along and have some real fun on the sea. The Social Club Bar will be open for drinks during and after the event. BBQ Burger stall, teas, refreshments.

 2011 Season Information

Following the CARA AGM the following rule changes have been made for the start of this season 2011. These are very significant changes and could affect how you complete the table above. Please read them and contact me if you could like to discuss any of in more detail.

Rule Changes

1)      There will now be a Veteran 50+ Status Event. Full CARA Championship Points and CARA League Points will apply. It will be a separate race, but can if entries are low be combined with the Veteran 40+. If the races are combined, there will still be two races within the race and CARA Championship points will be awarded accordingly. A crew cannot row both Veteran 40 and Veteran 50. Normal rules apply, i.e there needs to be four crews in the race to make it a status race.

2)      Any Junior Senior Oarsman can have the opportunity to have their status regressed after, a gap of five years, if they have never won a senior status race.

3)      Composite Novice Fours will be permitted under the following crieteria;

a.      No Mixed Sex Crews

b.      The rowers should all compete in their own club colours

c.       If a composite crew should win no CARA Championship point will be awarded, however the members of the crew will be deemed to have won a qualifying race at Novice.

d.      Composite crews would be awarded prizes but no CARA League or Aggregate points or points towards Aggregate Trophies presented by the Regatta Committee.

Junior Racing

There are three new junior events, Under 16 Mens Quad Scull, Under 16 Ladies Quad Scull and Under 14 Mixed Quad Scull. These events we be raced at the following six regatta’s only: Worthing Town, Dover, Eastbourne, Shoreham, Bexhill and CARA U16 Dover. Each event will be awarded 1^st – 5 points 2^nd 3points, 3^rd 1 point. At the sixth regatta, CARA Champions will be crowed.

There is no charge to enter these events. They will be raced over a 750m-100m course. Championship Cups and Medals will be presented to each champion crew.
